Experience
Hi everyone, welcome to my blog. My aim is to share my experience with you. Over here I will not only describe my daily life but I will also give some tips about the city (what to visit, how to find your way around, what to eat…), describe some cultural differences, and recommend some appropriate books for people coming here or looking forward to get more inside about China.
Please enjoy the reading and let me know if there is anything you believe is missing or you think I should talk more about.
I have already been talking about Sherpa where you give a call and order your food from many different restaurants and get it delivered.
Similarly, I have already been talking about Guanxi (85887), which is that number to which you send, by text message, the name of the restaurant/bar that you want the address of (preceded by the number 2).
But now I have also discovered the Shanghai Hotline where you call to ask any information you want as such as the best Shanghainese restaurant in town or the places where you can buy pet food near your home… This is provided for free by the Chinese government and is serving both in English and Chinese yet mainly targeted for tourist. By calling the 962288 you should be able to get any information you want and quickly. This is the kind of number you’ll never have with you when you actually need it so just take good note of it and save it into your mobile.
